NEW DELHI, INDIA \u2014<\/strong> Iran was crowned World Cup Champion<\/strong> at the 5th World Cup of Traditional Zurkhaneh Sports \u2013 Pahlavani & Zurkhaneh Wrestling<\/strong>, held in New Delhi, India, on December 22\u201323, 2022<\/strong> (1\u20132 Dey 1401).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day international championship brought together athletes from seven nations<\/strong>, showcasing the strength, skill, discipline, and traditions of Zurkhaneh sports and Pahlavani wrestling on an international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Celebration of Traditional Zurkhaneh Sports<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship featured a range of traditional Zurkhaneh individual disciplines, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sang (Stone Shield)
Mil Bazi (Club Swinging)
Charkh Tiz (Fast Spin)
Charkh Chaman (Graceful Spin)
Kabbadeh<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven Nations Take Part, Athletes and teams representing seven countries participated in the championship:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, India, Uganda, Belarus, and Tanzania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
